• The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opens in the morning only and is closed on Mondays and Fridays, and for restoration each year – in 2026 from 4 September to 2 November. When it is closed, we visit Ba Dinh Square and the One Pillar Pagoda instead.
• The Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral is under restoration until about 2027; you can see it from the outside.
• The south is hot all year; December to April is the dry season and the best time for the Mekong Delta.
• From June to September, storms can close Halong Bay at short notice; if that happens, we suggest another day or an alternative such as Trang An.
