You start in Hanoi with a visit to the Al-Noor Mosque, see Ninh Binh and spend a night on a halal-kitchen cruise in Halong Bay, then fly to central Vietnam and finish in Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels.

Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – City Tour (Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Our English-speaking guide meets you at Noi Bai International Airport and transfers you to your hotel in the Old Quarter (about 45 minutes). After a halal lunch, the city tour covers the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university founded in 1070, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, and a walk through the 36 streets of the Old Quarter. You can pray at the Al-Noor Mosque at 12 Hang Luoc Street, the only mosque in Hanoi, before a halal dinner in the Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Drive about 2 hours south to Ninh Binh. Visit the temples of Dinh and Le kings at Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s capital in the 10th century, then take a rowing boat through the rice fields and caves of Tam Coc. Halal lunch in Tam Coc; cycling through the villages if time allows. Return to Hanoi for a halal dinner.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay Overnight Cruise (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Drive about 2.5–3 hours to Halong Bay and board a cruise with a halal kitchen. Cruise among the limestone islands, visit a cave and go kayaking or swimming. Halal dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Hue (Breakfast/Brunch/Halal Dinner)
Watch the sunrise over the bay, then brunch as the cruise returns to the pier. Transfer to Noi Bai Airport for the flight to Hue (about 1 hour 10 minutes). Check in to your hotel in Hue.
Day 5: Hue Imperial City (Breakfast/Halal Lunch)
Explore the Hue Imperial Citadel, the seat of the Nguyen dynasty from 1802 to 1945 and a UNESCO World Heritage site, then Thien Mu Pagoda on the Perfume River and the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Halal choices in Hue are limited, so we book Indian or halal-friendly restaurants and confirm seafood or vegetarian dishes in advance.
Day 6: Hue – Hai Van Pass – Hoi An (Breakfast/Halal Lunch)
Drive over the Hai Van Pass, one of Vietnam’s most scenic coastal roads, with stops at Lang Co lagoon and the pass summit, then continue to Hoi An (about 3–4 hours with stops). In the afternoon walk through Hoi An Ancient Town: the Japanese Covered Bridge, old merchant houses and the lantern-lit riverfront.
Day 7: Hoi An – Ba Na Hills – Danang (Breakfast/Halal Lunch)
Take the cable car up Ba Na Hills to the Golden Bridge, held up by two giant stone hands, and the French Village. Halal lunch, then transfer to Danang for an evening by My Khe Beach. Overnight in Danang.
Day 8: Danang – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (about 1 hour 20 minutes). Visit the Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral and Saigon Central Post Office, and pray at the Jamia Al-Musulman Mosque on Dong Du Street in District 1, the busiest mosque in the city, with halal restaurants around it.
Day 9: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Drive about 2 hours to the Mekong Delta. Take a boat along the canals, visit coconut-candy workshops and fruit orchards, and ride a rowing sampan through the water-palm channels. Return to Saigon for a halal dinner.
Day 10: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ben Thanh Market (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the underground network used during the Vietnam War, about 1.5 hours from the city. Afternoon shopping at Ben Thanh Market. Farewell halal dinner.
Day 11: Saigon Departure (Breakfast)
Free time until your transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight home. End of tour.

FAQs

Yes. Meals are certified halal, served at halal restaurants. On the Halong Bay cruise, which has no halal kitchen, meals are seafood or vegetarian with no meat. See our guide to halal restaurants in Hanoi.
2. Can we pray during the tour?
Prayer times are not fixed in the itinerary, because much of the day is spent travelling between sights. Tell your guide what you need and they will help where possible. In Hanoi you can visit Al-Noor Mosque, the only mosque in northern Vietnam.
3. Is this a private tour? Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. All our tours are private with your own guide and vehicle, so we can change the pace, hotels and sights. Just contact our team with your dates.
4. How much does this tour cost?
The price is On Request, because it depends on group size, hotel class and travel dates. Send us your dates and number of travellers and we will reply with an exact quote within 24 hours: contact our team.
5. Can I visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on this tour?
Yes, when it is open: mornings only, closed on Mondays and Fridays and for annual maintenance (4 September – 2 November 2026). If it is closed we visit the square, the Presidential Palace grounds and the One Pillar Pagoda instead. Read our mausoleum guide.
6. Are meals on the Halong Bay cruise halal?
Standard cruises serve set menus from shared kitchens, so we arrange seafood and vegetarian meals without meat. For fully halal meals on board, upgrade to the Mon Chéri halal-kitchen cruise.
7. Is there halal food in Hue?
Halal restaurants are rare in Hue, so we pre-book seafood or vegetarian meals at restaurants we have checked.
8. Is there halal food and a mosque in Ho Chi Minh City?
Yes. Ho Chi Minh City has many halal restaurants, especially around the Jamia Al-Musulman Mosque on Dong Du Street in District 1, where you can also pray.
