Tour Information & Itinerary
Halong Bay Muslim Tour 3 Days 2 Nights on a Halal Cruise
Tour Overview
This Halong Bay Muslim tour 3 days 2 nights gives Muslim travellers what a one-night cruise cannot: a full day in Lan Ha Bay, the quieter southern part of the Halong Bay area next to Cat Ba Island, without worrying about food. You sail on Mon Chéri Cruises, the cruise we use for Muslim guests because it runs a dedicated halal kitchen and states that it is certified by the Halal Vietnam Association. Most other Halong Bay cruises serve pork and alcohol from shared kitchens.
Who Is This Tour For?
- Families and couples who want to rest after a busy Hanoi itinerary
- Travellers who want kayaking, swimming and a village walk, not only a sightseeing cruise
- Guests who need halal meals for every meal on the bay
Halal Food on Board
All meals on board are served from the halal kitchen. Read more in our guide to halal restaurants in Halong Bay.
Good to Know
- Cruise schedules can change because of weather; in a storm warning the coast guard may cancel sailings and we rearrange your dates.

Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau Marina – Lan Ha Bay (Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
Pick-up at your Hanoi hotel in the morning for the drive of about 2.5–3 hours on the Hanoi–Ha Long expressway to Tuan Chau International Marina. Board Mon Chéri around midday, check in to your cabin and have a halal lunch as the boat sails into Lan Ha Bay. In the afternoon go kayaking around Tra Bau, swim from the boat or relax on the sundeck for sunset. Halal dinner on board. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai Village, Cat Ba Island (Breakfast/Halal Lunch/Halal Dinner)
After breakfast, transfer to a day boat and visit Viet Hai, a small village inside Cat Ba National Park reached by a quiet trail between rice fields and limestone cliffs; cycling or walking. Lunch on the day boat, then kayaking or swimming in a sheltered lagoon. Return to the main ship in the late afternoon for free time and a halal dinner. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Trung Trang Cave – Hanoi (Breakfast/Brunch)
Early risers can watch the dawn over the bay. After a light breakfast, visit Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba Island, then check out and enjoy brunch while the cruise returns to Tuan Chau at around 11:30. Drive back to Hanoi, arriving in the mid-afternoon. End of tour, or continue with our Hanoi City Muslim Tour.
